Reflection

After doing this assignment both times I realized that bounce flash is a lot more helpful and trickier than I thought. Whether it is bounce flash or extreme bounce flash it can make a significant difference in the image without having to mess with and potentially change the camera settings.

The difference between bouncing to the left/ right or behind the photographer can really impact how much light gets casted onto the subject. For this assignment we wanted to try and find a darker area on campus to play around with how much we could use the flash and if we could make each other brighter without having to move closer or further away from the light source. We did struggle to find an area since it was still day time so we chose inside Moore and to explore the theater side.

When we first started the hands on part of this assignment I had absolutely no idea what I was doing or how to even do bounce flash. Now that I have played around with it more it does make more sense to me. It is all about finding the right angle to aim the flash out and figuring out your camera settings. The hardest part for this was getting my camera to focus once we moved to the corner because it was so dark and we were not able to get any external light.
