Even thought I enjoyed the process of lighting cars, this assignment was difficult because I wanted a cool car to take photos of. I tried to keep in mind as much as I could from the hands-on part of the assignment. This also fell around the time I was going home for fall break so I did not have the lighting I originally would have used. I was lucky to be able to use my neighbors Mercedes.

For the hands on assignment I really enjoyed Eriks strategy the most because I feel like it was quicker and easier to get what you want. Since I like that the most, I tried to incorporate that into my actual assignment.

For lighting I used a soft-box at the highest setting it could go angled down at the car. I played around with where I put it having my mom assist me in making sure the light did not fall. I ended up having the light towards the front of the car, I wanted to create a softer effect on the car since it was white and it already reflects light easier.

This was really fun once I got it figured out to do this. Unfortunately he did pull his car out and then leave and did not get back until really late so I was not able to have him turn the lights on but I am still happy with what I ended up with. If I were to do this assignment again I would make the lights brighter and possibly use one more to light both sides of the car better.
