Nathan Murawski is a senior at Central Michigan University and serves as one of the assistant captains for the D1 Men's Hockey team. Murawski has played on the team for all four years of his college career from the team being division two to now division one. Playing hockey for almost 16 years, Murawski started playing hockey in the second grade. This video follows along with Murawski's game day routine on his last game day before hanging up his jersey.

As an assistant captain, Murawski serves as a role model to the team and cheerleader, always working to keep the boys in good spirits. Not only acting as assistant captain on ice, he leads the team in off ice warm ups and locker room pep talks. Although the team did not have the season they wanted, Murawski got to spend his last moments on the team having fun with his brothers. From waking up at the crack of dawn two days in a row and spending being celebrated on senior night with his parents, Murawski ended the 2025-2026 season with a bang after being given the go ahead from coach Britt Knopp to fight opposing players for the very last time.

Reflection

I feel like I did a good job with the video following Nate around. We had to make it a three day activity to get all of the clips needed just for time purposes. I really enjoyed doing this video because I got to see more of the behind the scenes for a game day and get to know more about Nate and his hockey journey.

I originally wanted to do this video on just a game day with an assistant captain but then I realized I could make it a bit more different than other videos that have a similar concept. I ended up deciding to emphasize the fact that it was his last collegiate game day and document that also for him.

I knew absolutely nothing about premier pro going into this assignment so I definitely feel it could be smoother with transitions. I do give myself leniency because I was learning as I was doing it and essentially teaching myself with the help of google and youtube so for it to be the first video I have actually made I am very proud of the way it turned out. I went in with a vision and almost met it exactly.
