Meet the face behind the name

Hi there! My name is Jasmine Brookins and I am from Charlotte, North Carolina. I have been photographing for over 10 years and have experience in any subject matter. I created this blog to document my work for my classes. This page of my blog is for my journalism 340 class which is Intro to Digital Journalism. Under the courses catalog of my page you can find my work for journalism 420 and 423.

I have one dog back home named Elden who is a German Shepard mix and I am also an auntie to my teammates cat Milo. I designated myself as this, but over time he has grown to like me slightly.

I am pursing a bachelors degree in Photojournalism, minoring in Multimedia Design and Communications at Central Michigan University.

I am currently working two jobs, one at Central Michigan Life as a photographer covering events of all kinds, and with the College of Arts And Media as a photographer as well. After I graduate I am hoping to go into pro sports photography, whether it is MLB, NBA, or NFL.

I first developed my interest for sports photography at a young age when I was introduced to Chicago sports by my family. My absolute dream job would be to work for the Chicago Bears, Bulls, or Blackhawks.
